Container storage questions
Why store a container in a yard instead of at the terminal?
After free time, the terminal charges storage and the shipping line keeps charging per diem. Pulling the container to a private yard stops the terminal storage, and our daily rate is usually lower.
Do I still pay per diem while the container is in your yard?
Yes, the shipping line's per diem keeps running until the empty is returned. If that's a concern, ask about transloading so the empty goes back right away.
Is my container safe in your yard?
[Describe fence, gate, cameras, insurance.] Every container is photographed in and out with the seal intact.
How much notice do you need to deliver a stored container?
[24 hours] is usually enough. Same-day is often possible; call dispatch.
