Container loading and unloading
A 40' container packed floor to ceiling with loose cartons can take a crew a few hours to empty by hand. We do that work at our dock every week. Palletized containers come off by forklift. Floor-loaded ones are unloaded by hand, stacked, wrapped and ready to ship.
For exports, we load your container, brace the cargo so it doesn't shift at sea, record the seal and get it to the ramp on time.

What happens when your container arrives
- Seal number checked against your paperwork before the doors open
- Load photographed as it arrived, then again when empty
- Pieces counted against your packing list; shortages and damage reported the same day
- Floor-loaded cartons stacked on pallets, wrapped and labelled
- Empty returned to the depot, or loaded again for export

LOADING FOR EXPORT
Export containers loaded, braced and sealed
Exports leave our dock packed to your plan, braced for the sea leg and documented before the doors close.
- Empty container picked up and inspected for holes, damage and odour
- Cargo loaded to your plan, with weight spread evenly
- Blocking, bracing and strapping [supplied on request]
- Seal applied, number recorded and photographed
- Delivered to the rail terminal or port before cut-off

Loading and unloading questions
How much does it cost to unload a container?
It depends on the container size and whether it's palletized or floor-loaded. Floor-loaded containers are priced [per container / per hour]. Ask for a quote with your packing list.
Do you supply pallets and wrap?
Yes. Pallets, stretch wrap and labels are available and charged per use. [confirm]
What if the cargo is damaged?
We photograph it before anything moves and send you the photos the same day, so you have what you need for a claim.
